Chinatown

Before I was in film studies I had never heard of the movie Chinatown. I was a little worried about watching this film because I am not one for films made in that era. But as the movie went on I grew to like the way that it was filmed and that the colors of the film were not vibrant and bright and I liked how it had a yellow tint to the film. I did not think that the characters were going to be interesting, but very quickly I realized that Gitteswas going to be a round character in the film and I would be able to know lots about his life. I loved how he could get around important people to figure out the information that he wanted to know. He was a true detective, but I did not think the character of Gittes would be able to pull off that character. The story had a good twist when you found out that Mulray's wife was raped by her father. I didnot predict that that was going to happen. This made the movie more enjoyable to watch becuase I wanted to know if somethimg else was going to happen that I could not predict. All in all I enjoyed this film.
